Which day your cheque got bounced is the moot question . The purpose for which cheque s were issued . Only if the cheques were issued against payment of some goods purchased or services availed and got bounced due to insufficient fund in the account ; you are entitled to sue him u/s 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act

A full Yes, all you need are the original bounced cheques along with the cheque deposit slips and cheques return memo issued by the bank. If you have those then Run to your lawyer and request him to issue a demand notice, if you have not crossed the 30 days time limit from the date of knowledge about the said bounces. And please don't forget to pay the fees to your lawyer.
