Drawer turned lunatic so can bank deny payment

Can bank deny to payment on cheque if ‘XYZ’ Bank receives a cheque dated 01-12-2018 drawn by ‘M’, the cheque is presented for payment on 10-01-2019, the Bank has been notified of the lunacy of ‘M’ as on 21-12-2018.

Well, the Bank can deny payment to the person presenting the cheque for Encashment if the Cheque was made by a Lunatic Person and if it comes to the knowledge of the Bank, that, the person who signed the cheque was lunatic and not in proper state of mind, while signing the cheque.
