Company is not paying the money even when the cheque has bounced

I had been in a contract with a driver consultation firm to get a driver and paid 20000 Rs by cheque but could not been provided the driver even beyond time limit. I approached the firm manager for refund many times. Then he gave a post dated cheque which is bounced. When I asked for cash refund he gave a date. When I reached on given date , he is asking for bounced cheque. I contacted my bank and got information that cheque can't be returned. I have shown my bank statement to the firm in which it is clearly mentioned that cheque is bounced then also firm is not returning the money.Now what can I do and how?
Don't wait, when it was bounced..? U should approach to your bank manager where your account has been maintained, get bounced cheque and its MEMO copy which reason it has been bounced and consult immediately within stipulated time , then can send legal notice and get your money back.

A legal notice has to be sent to the driver consultation firm by an advocate on your behalf, if they fail to reply, then a criminal case has to be filed under Section 138 of Negotiable Instrument Act read with Section 200 of Crpc.

You have two option either u can file private complaint before jurisdiction magistrate for cheating, or u can file recovery suit before the court.

The cheque presented by you shall be given to you by bank along with return memo stating reason for dishonour of cheque and the reason given by you that Bank is not providing bounced cheque is unbelievable
What the firm asked to return cheque leaf and receive Cash is right.
