Cheuqe rejected as non cts which is given for registration

Hello, as part of plot registration i have given a cheque and the same is mentioned on the registration document.but unfortunately cheque us rejected saying it is non CTS. How should i proceed?

under negotiable instruments act cause of action arises only if you do not pay within 15 days of legal notice. you can pay the cheque amount by DD and get a rectification deed executed to plot registration deed
