Cheque bounce Related issue. My cheque for bounced and I'm afraid of

Hello everyone. Myself mudassir from Nagpur . Few months back I got a handy loan from my friend around 77 thousand. Now he is asking more than 1.25 lakhs. And he deposited my cheque on February and it got bounced. He sent me a Advocate notice but in that letter my name itself was wrong and my guardian names Sir name was completely wrong. Already I paid him 20k and I'm ready to pay 60k immediately but he is treating that he gave case in 11tg if this month and anytime I could get arrested and he forcefully took my new bike with him. I don't know what to do. Pleaee can anyone help me. Thanks in advance

no need to worry about but if you received the notice and your cheque is with him and he deposited the same and got it bounced than after receiving the notice you have to send him with its reply. otherwise it will affect your case.

firstly reply to his legal notice as this is mandatory as per the negotiable instruments act and once you reply to his notice he will be obliged to file his rejoinder to the same. if he has forcefully taken your bike then in that case file a police complaint with the local police station.
also if you are willing to pay back the amount taken as loan from him you should mention this in your reply to the legal notice.

First of all i will clear you relax, there is no provision for direct arrest under Negotiable Instrument Act. Let him file case, first court is going to issue summons to you then you should go to court and furnish bail. If you will appear in court then why the court will issue warrant. If your name is wrong in demand notice, then it is difficult for him to prove the transaction.
