Check bounced twice by the same person

Hi, I had given some money to a friend for help, but he was not returning it since Jan 2019, now he had issues a check but it bounced twice, what can I do.

if issued cheque deposited by you in bank and the same is dishonoured twicely due to any reason/purpose & you have not received money in bank account then issuing party is for prosecution under the Negotiable Instruments Act and we can initiate a criminal proceeding against that party.
