Case in scrutiny in high court

11-Aug-2026 (In Cheque Bounce Law)

I have filed an appeal in high court on 30 july 2026 for A cheque bounce case and it's status is showing as scrunity. Can anyone tell what is the meaning of this and how many more days will it take to get listed. When Will the court issue summons to responded before the case is accepted or after. Iike in session court summons are issued after the case is accepted. In high court also is it same Or different. Plz can anyone explain

Scrutiny stage means the court registry office is examining your appeal papers for technical defects format errors missing documents court fees or compliance issues Listing usually takes about one to two weeks after all registry objections are cured by your advocate depending on court workload Regarding summons or notice in the High Court the matter is first listed for admission or preliminary hearing before the judge Notice to the respondent is issued only after the court accepts or admits the appeal and not before admission unless urgent interim relief is requested or directed by the court
