Brother declared PO in case. What would happen if we settle?

12-Oct-2023 (In Cheque Bounce Law)
Brother has been declared a PO in a cheque bounce case 2 years back. Now we want to settle the case and complainant is ready to do that. So if we settle will the PO tag be removed as well?

no first you have to move an application to set a side a order by the ASJ and after that you have to mention that the complainant is ready to settle the matter. thereafter the order is passed by the ASJ and in that you can declare that the matter is settle and you have been declared PO so set aside that order.

A cheque bounce case can be settled at any stage before the execution of the punishment. You do not requirement the permission of the court for compounding (out of court settlement) of cheque bounce cases.

You may then need to file an application under Section 482 CrPC before the High Court for quashing the order that declared him as a Proclaimed Offender.
