Amount of cheque increased from 3000 to 30000 and filed court case.

One of my relative and my dad had some money issue.So, My dad gave him 8 cheque of 3000 as My father is not much literate,due to belief and relative pressure, they don't write amount in words. Now he filed court case by increasing amount to 30000 and bouncing the cheque. All relative know that he increases amount. What to do . He is a lawyer
When a cheque is returned unpaid/bounced/dishonored by the Bank, the Payee should not wait to receive the said cheque amount according to the convenience of the Drawer. If required steps are not initiated and completed within the prescribed time limit as mentioned in the Act, the chances of recovering the amount would become minimal and would absolve the Drawer from criminal liability.

File a counter criminal complaint or an FIR against that person. There will be a proper evidence recording from your side that whether the amount was 3k or 30k. And signature and the handwriting will also be matched in the process. If you haven’t done any wrong no one can claim unnecessary compensation from you.
