Account Closed after issuance of Cheque
20-Mar-2023 (In Cheque Bounce Law)
after issuance of the cheque, bank tagged the account as NPA and closed the account. whether the offence is committed by the drawer of the cheque?
hi
the offence will be under both under sections 138 of negotiable instruments act and also cheating because the account becomes npa only if borrower does not pay his dues within 90 days from the date the amount became due. it is duty of account holder to ensure account remains active at all points of time
