Remedy in case bank instituted fine for not paying EMI.

27-Nov-2023 (In Banking / Finance Law)
I took a home loan of Rs1500000 from Bank of Maharashtra Noida in 2013. I was told that till 1.5 years interest would be charged and after that emi amount would start getting deducted. But 6 months from then ,no emi were deducted. When I enquired in the bank about it, they asked me to write an application for the same and that's it. Now in 2017 when i want to repay my whole loan I come to know that a amount of around 200000 is charged on my account as overdue. I want to know what are my rights and what action i can take in this case?
