Handloan taken from friend now he is harassing for recovery what to do

Sir I have taken a loan from my friend of 4.94 in Oct 16 I have paid 1.3 in Nov 2 lakh in Feb and this month 60k even though he is harassing me every day and threatening to come to my home with people and defame me he is going to deposit one of the surety chq of 3 lakh on Monday and adding up interest amount on the loan which was not agreed kindly help there were no agreement between us while taking the handloan
you may very well consider doing one of the off the record solutions considering the the facts and circumstances put forward. Will not be easy but it is very much advisable to do in such a situation .
