cheque got bounced, can legal action be taken against me?

Respected sir I gave a cheque of Rs 26000 to other person on 17.07.17 and that was bounced on 26.07.17. Can he send me legal notice please give me suggestions

Yes he can send legal notice to initiate both criminal/civil proceedings against you u/s 138 of NI Act. But, the legal notice should be send to respondent with in 30 days of cheque bounce. you may discuss with us for more.
