Bank not returning my blank cheques, giving No due certificate instead

Dear Sir/Madam, I have availed a personal loan from a private bank and I completely closed the account. While I applying loan I have given three blank cheque (signed) to the bank. Now when I requested for return of my check to the bank they refused to do that and they told me that we will provide you a No due certificate instead of cheque . Sir my dought is Is No due certificate from bank is ok instead of cheque? If I want the cheque then what is the next step to do ?

You may insist for the cheques. Although a NOC would be good enough for proving no dues payable by you. You may also call up your bank and block the clearance of the cheques if they are ever presented for clearance at all.

Dear sir ,
in this regard please give a written application to the bank along with a duplicate copy and which you get the receiving of the concerned bank official signature along with bank stamp and this would help you further.

If the blank cheques were dated and three months have passed then those cheques are piece of appear. Secondly if they are giving NOC then ask them to write on the NOC that the three cheques given by you with their numbers stands cancelled
