Recd Email For Demand & Invocation Of Arbitration Against Credit Card

25-Oct-2024 (In Arbitration Law)
I couldn't not pay last month credit card bill due to car accident. Now I have received an email from law firm under subject DEMAND NOTICE & INVOCATION OF ARBITRATION ON BEHALF OF SBI CARD ACCOUNT NO. xxxxxx. I missed the payment second time during this year. I have also written email to bank authority for reversal of some finance and interest charges. In meantime I got this email. How to react now. It is true I am facing financial crunches.

The limited description of your case, depicts a matter of arbitration having been invoked against you by the company. It is advisable to present your defence in the case alongwith the supporting documents otherwise an ex-parte award can be passed against you. Feel free to contact Thanks

You have to respond to the demand notice through advocate and appear before the arbitrator otherwise they will pass ex parte order and then bank will file execution petition in the court, and in the execution petition the bank can recover the amount through your assets.

Do seek an appropriate legal Consultation. Need to peruse the Demand Notice and Arbitration invocation letter. Do engage a lawyer to represent you before the arbitrator and made submissions and file replies
