Time for conversion of AB to regular bail
25-Oct-2023 (In Anticipatory Bail Law)
I already have an anticipatory bail and as per conditions of the bail I have presented myself along with the surer to the I.O within 15 days of bail grant date and executed the bail procedure. by what time should i apply for regular bail?
There is no information in the AB conditions regarding this point.
You need to share the copy so that it can be answered if the bail conditions does not mention you need to wait till court sends you summons on the other hand you can voluntarily apply for bail before regular court so as to expedite the process of bail

How long is anticipatory bail valid?
In general, anticipation bail is valid for 30 calendar days. However, the court may grant a longer period of time depending on the case and circumstances. This is a matter for the courts jurisdiction to decide.
What happens if anticipatory bail is granted?
In the case of Anticipatory Bail Section 438 gives a High Court or a Court of Session the power to grant anticipatory bond. The Court does not grant bail in anticipation of an arrest. It means, however, that a persons bail will be increased in the event of an arrest. 19-Aug-2023
What happens after bail is granted?
If bail is granted by an inferior court, the accused may be required to provide a personal bond to guarantee that they will adhere to the conditions of the court. If bail is granted by an upper court, then the accused may not be required to provide a surety or bond. 13-Sept-2023
Is anticipatory bail valid after chargesheet?
As can be seen from Section (3), Justice Tiwari concluded that anticipatory bond can still be granted even after the filing of a charge-sheet. The law has also been established that the filing of a charge-sheet does not affect the continuation of anticipatory bonds, if they are granted.
