Is sharing screenshots of a conversation illegal in India? Can I sue someone for recording me without my permission in India if they share my private chat or recordings with a third person?

Advocate Vibhor Mittal answered
No the same is not a illegal act. But it clearly depends on what you are sharing and the consent of the other party in the chat is required or not. If the chats contain private images then it is completely illegal and if procceeded with criminal action can be taken against you.

Try to draft this complaint from the side of your Elderly & also report the same to senior citizen cell of the concerned police. If no action has been taken on the same file a RTI on the complaint to seek what action has been taken on your complaint.
