Can anybody say what is the cost of filing divorce in kolkata and what would be the expenditure if it has to be contested

for filling divorce case minimum fees 1000 thereafter for contest case minimum fees of lawyer could be RS 500 per date.and total expenditure would be round about RS 10000 but above noted facts can varry according to the lawyer

Q: If date can be changed and how

My divorce case ( filed by my wife) is going on. the previous date was missed by me. I am unable to attend this date too. Issue dates are falling, no hearing started yet. Is it going to create any problem? Can date be changed? My lawyer is telling that there would be no problem. Please suggest

no it will not create any problem but your lawyer has to submit an memorandum of issue then it case will run to stage of pH then only but u have nothing to worry your main thing is to delay the process

Q: To know the next date of hearing online

My wife filed divorce case in 2017. Since then got a number of dates but no hearing. Just going there making attendence, giving fee to the lawyer and coming. Reconciliation, though has taken place but it took placw so late . Have no idea about the legal status of my case. My legal advisor doesn't seem to be cooperative. What should i do? How can i know next date of my case online and offline both? Please help and suggest what to do

u simply download the ecourt app in your android phone and in such you can search your case and can find out latest position of our case along with the next date and in such you first select the district ,the court complex and u have got various options from whom u select the best and then u will get the information

Q: False FIR and civil criminal defamation case

A nationalised bank falsly alleged me and lodged an FIR. After that the police sent me to Judicial custody for more than two months. When I came out through bail, I filed a crl pet for quashing the fir. Now the said case is on hearing stage. So, please let me know if the FIR is quased can I file a defamation case against them. How much amount can i claim. And is there any option is available for Court fee waiver for filing defamation case.

you can file a criminal case against the said bank before the local magistrate court u/s 200 CrPC for the offence punishable under section 500 IPC and u can file a suit for defamation claiming compensation of 1lack along with the litigation cost before the LD 1st civil judge senior division and for this u have pay a nominal court fees

if you have no capacity to hire any advocate then you first go to your councillor and get an income certificate from the councillor and then you go to your concern court and there you first go to SDLC or DLSA ie legal aid and talk to the person in department and show such income certificate and fill up the paper which they will give you
