Q: What is the procedure if the allotment letter provided by the builder is lost? What if the allotment
I have lost the allotment letter provided by the builder for two flats I booked in 2011, but I haven't received possession yet. The builder is aware of the lost letter and I filed an FIR regarding it. Now, he is not communicating properly. I want to cancel the deal and get my money back since it's been almost six years and I've already paid 40% of the flat cost. The payment was made via cheque, so I have the transaction details. What should I do to ensure I can get my money back? Please guide me through an easy procedure to resolve this quickly. What if the allotment letter is lost, and how to handle a BDA allotment letter lost?
Advocate Sushil Kumar Agarwal answered
No matter. A allotment letter can be lost. You write a letter to your Promoter stating that you have lost the Allotment letter and submit an Affidavit with regard to this and request for Duplicate Allotment Letter. He is bound to reissue the Allotment Letter.

Advocate Sushil Kumar Agarwal answered
You have not mentioned your age. Your problem is something unusual and partly social. First of all be aware that Parents do not have any obligation to maintain and feed a Major Son. Your parents are under no obligation to feed u and bear your expenses. At the same time your parents do not have any right to assault you. If they have assaulted you, you can lodge a Police Complaint at your Local Police Station stating all the facts. My advice is to resolve this problem socially to avoid future complications.
