Q: I want to marry a Bangladeshi girl. What is the procedure for an Indian citizen to marry a Banglades

I am from Kolkata, West Bengal, and I am planning to marry my girlfriend from Chittagong, Bangladesh, in July 2016 in Kolkata. What procedures should we follow considering she will be visiting India on a one-month travel visa? Which documents do we need to carry for both of us? Additionally, what steps are required for her to obtain Indian citizenship? We are both 26 and 28 years old, employed in our respective countries, and both Hindu. Please advise!

Hello,The answer for the query asked by you is as follows: I. The Documents required for registering your marriage in India are :1. Application form duly signed by Husband and wife2. Documentary evidence of the date of birth of the parties3.Two passport size photographs and one marriage photograph4.Ration card of husband or wife whose area SDM has been approached for the certificateAffidavit by both the parties stating place and date of marriage, date of birth, marital status at the time of marriage and nationality5.If marriage was solemnized in a religious place, a certificate from the priest is required who solemnized the marriage6.Affirmation that the parties are not related to each other within the prohibited degree of relationship as per Hindu Marriage Act or Special Marriage Act as the case may beAttested copy of divorce decree/order in case of a divorcee and death certificate of spouse in case of widow/widower7.All documents excluding receipt should be attested by a Gazetted Officer8. If one of the parties is a citizen of another country , the registrar may request a “no objection letter”from the Embassy or Consulate of that country, and also may request proof of termination of any previous marriages,before a marriage certificate will be issued.The procedure you need to follow for getting married is that:All the documents duly attested must be carried before the Registrar and Verification of all the documents is carried out on the date of application and a day is fixed and communicated to the parties for registration. On the said day, both parties, along with a Gazetted Officer who attended their marriage, need to be present before the SDM. The marriage certificate under the Hindu Marriage Act is issued on the same day or within a few days.II. The procedure for obtaining citizenship is :After getting married your girlfriend can apply for Indian Citizenship as there is a provision under the Indian Citizenship Act for obtaining citizenship whereby if the spouse is Indian citizen then his spouse being NRI can obtain for Indian Citizen.

Q: Difference in aadhar and pan card, how to get correction done?

Dear Sir/Madam, There's a disparity in the spelling of my father's name in the Adhar Card and in the Pan Card. How can I solve this? Is there any scope to make an affidavit in the Court stating that both the names are of a same person? Please help. Saumya Mukhopadhyay.

Hi ! Yes you can make an affidavit to this effect stating the correct name and also that the spelling is of the same person. Please do notarize the affidavit. There won't be any such legal issues after the affidavit is made.

I did a spelling mistake in address when filling a certain application form. If this can be erect by affidavit or not?

Yes this can be corrected by an affidavit. The affidavit must state the details of your address and also the details of wrong address in form filled by you . The affidavit then has to be notarized by the notary and also signed by you

Q: CHeque got bounced, what is the procedure to file case?

Want to know if Cheque bounce then what we do to recover our money through that bounce cheque

You will have to issue a notice through an advocate to the concerned person whose cheque has bounced. If he does not pay the amount (as stated in cheque along with interest), then a criminal case has to be done against him.

Q: Banker gave me 4 cheques and has made an agreement now cheque bounced

A banker gave me 4 cheques of 10 lakhs along with duly signed agreement mentioning all cheques number and amount that he will give me back the money when I want it from him. All cheques are bounced.Can that cheat be punished by non bailable 420 act I need help please guide me

Since your cheques have bounced my suggestion would be that a notice has to issued to the banker a under section 138 of negotiable instruments Act as it is a cheque bounce case. If he does not reply within 15 days then we can file a criminal case against him
