Q: Friend not giving back borrowed money.
I gave 1 lakh to my friend six year ago through check, and he gave me signed blank check, but he is not giving back the money. Please guide me.
Advocate Raghav Taneja answered
You should fill the amount and give the cheque for clearance, if there is no sufficient balance it will get bounced, you can then further file a criminal case against him to recover the amount.. the recovery through cheque bounce case has a very good success rate
Q: DIVORCE TRANSFER PETITION IN SUPREME COURT OF INDIA
I have filed divorce case in Punjab and my wife has filed transfer petition in supreme court I got notice from supreme court and hearing date was 24 aug, and i did not go and thought that case will be transferred to Haridwar but since then , Matter is not being taken up and case not transferred and new date is given. SEVEN dates and four months have passed. Now should i appear in court myself only then case will get transferred. Pls guide
Advocate Raghav Taneja answered
You are not required to appear personally for the Supreme Court to decide the transfer petition, as it is typically handled through pleadings by advocates. However, delays may occur due to incomplete pleadings or procedural reasons. To expedite the matter, engage a Supreme Court advocate to file your reply (agreeing or opposing the transfer) and request urgent listing if needed. If you believe personal appearance will help, you can attend, but it’s not mandatory. The case will only be transferred once the court passes an order, so active participation through counsel is recommended.
Q: Premium Subscription Purchased But Not Showing In Account
I purchased a premium subscription of GeeksForGeeks and 1 day after payment access was revoked for all courses except 2 that I had started. The support team is not responding and upon calling them they are telling me that they will forward a query to the course team and they will contact me and they never do that.

If you have faced a deficiency in services or goods, you can send a detailed legal notice to the concerned party, formally demanding a refund of the amount you paid. This notice should specify the reasons for your claim, including the deficiency, and set a reasonable deadline for compliance. If they fail to respond or refuse to refund your money, you have the right to file a consumer case in the appropriate forum.

You can file a case for domestic violence against your in-laws under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005. Additionally, you can file a case for maintenance under Section 125 CrPC to secure financial support, including monthly allowances. These legal provisions are designed to ensure your safety and provide you with financial stability during challenging times. By pursuing both cases, you can seek protection orders, residence rights, and maintenance to address your immediate needs and safeguard your future. Consult a legal expert to guide you through these processes effectively.
Q: Need advice regarding love marriage
I am 32 years old woman. I am in a relationship with a guy from 8-9 years now he is 25 now. We both want to marry each other. His parents agree of him marrying me but mine have issues. We have a talk yesterday and he told me in end you want to marry doors are open go yourself but you will never see me again. I will do something it's because of you I am in stress. I can't face relatives or society if you marry him. I have told him I am facing mental stress. Need advice as I am feeling stuck.
Advocate Raghav Taneja answered
As a 32-year-old woman, you have the legal right to marry anyone of your choice, including a 25-year-old man, as both of you are adults under Indian law. If your parents oppose your decision and create obstacles, you can file a protection petition in the High Court to safeguard your rights. The court can issue orders to ensure police protection, ensuring your safety and freedom to marry without interference. The law protects individuals who wish to exercise their constitutional right to choose their life partner.
