Q: How to recover money from person who is not giving it back
I am victim of fraud duped by a passport agent who had his office in Govindpuri, New Delhi. He took a total amount of Rs. 9300/-, out of which Rs. 7500/- were paid by card.The agent took the money on promising me to help our passports getting issued within a month.However,he neither did it, nor has been returning my money.He along with his wife ran the office.I have visited his office multiple times in hopes of recovering my money,but he was always missing.Initially his wife was present who used to cry crocodile's tears as to how they were in deep trouble,and the guy used to go to Kanpur for some reason or other.Now since the last one month,both are untraceable.I have the receipt of the full amount he gave me, along with the transaction slip of the card payment with bank passbook records.The card used was my father's with his consent of course.I have managed to trace an address in Kanpur belonging to them along with the wife's photograph.What else do I need to do to recover the money?
