Q: Take suggestion regarding Removal of father name from child's Birth ce

Hlo sir…my name is Pooja. I am divorcee. I want to remove father name from my child's birth certificate. I have submitted full file with affidavit and divorce papers in the municipal corporation…but the officer there said me to take supreme court orders copy with the application. I am really in worry

if you an divorced wife and a single mother you can always approch the concerned authorities to consider the courts order granting divorce and custody of child and get th name of father removed on basis of court order. the appropriate way is to first sent a legal notice along with necessary documents in support of the contention and thereafter to approach high court in writ jurisdiction for the speedy disposal

Q: Renew of passport on hold of my minor daughter

Hi, my daughter 's passport is on hold as they are asking for father's consent. He has visiting rights but never exercised in 14 yrs. And I have no contact with him. What to do now? Pls helpRegardsPreeti

a writtrn request can first be made to father to provide consent. and in case there is no response from him a writ of mandamus would be maintained hy us before high court to pray for directions to passport authority yo consider the order where custody is given to the mother and don't insist over fathers consent for renewal
