Q: Contested divorce as husband doesn’t agree

Married since 2015, it was a love marriage but things have completely gone out of hand in the last 2 years.1) Husband is addicted to tobacco, we are unable to conceive, reports show 45% DNA fragmentation and he has no regrets nor making any effort n2) Spends 5-6 hours a day playing PUBG and 3-4 hours roaming outside homen3) His family mentally tortured me with taunts and discriminatory behaviour, mean comments and unnecessary interference n4) We stayed apart for 4 months in 2021 during which he contacted his ex and confessed his love for her - i have screenshots of the same.He has no remorse for his actions and doesn’t want to make any efforts as he thinks he’s not made any mistake. He’s a manipulative, narcissistic egomaniac. nI have tried my best, but it’s now taking a toll on my mental and physical health but he’s not agreeing for a mutual divorce.

Advocate Mruthika J answered
hi!! You can still file a contested divorce petition against your husband it will take little more time than mutual consent divorce, you can also file a domestic violence case against him and can claim compensation for all the damages caused to you( for mental torture etc). For further clarification and information kindly contact us. thank you!!
