"I am 18 years and 3 months old, and my girlfriend is 20 years old. We both want to live together by our own choice. Can we make a ‘Live-in Relationship Agreement’ and stay together legally, so that neither our parents nor the police can disturb us?"

The legal age for Couples to co habit is 18 years for both Male and Female. The legal age for marriage is 18 years for Female and 21 years for Male.Yes you can make a 'Live-in-Relationship Agreement' which is not necessary for a couple to stay together. Your Govt ID proves your age. No Parents and No Police can disturb you provided both of you stand by each other during any such encounters. Also try to discreetly record everything if any such incident occurs. Be confident and polite while dealing with the Police. And Dial the Emergency Police No in such situation to officially record such incident.There are several remedies available for you in the event of such encounters.

Q: Sexual Comment on Instagram after being sexually insulted firstby girl

I recently made a sexual comment on Instagram live, after the girl hurls sexual abuse at me vocally. I deleted the comment, but the girl says she screenshot the comment and threaten to call Womens Commission and register FIR at Cyber Police. I dont have the video of her insulting me sexually first. What to do ?

See. Sexual comment on Instagram Live is a Offence under the Indian Laws no matter who started first. These includes penal offences such as Sexual Harrassment, Insulting the Modesty of a Woman and Stalking under the BNS, 2023. Additionally, it may also attract IT Act, 2000.Since you admit to making a comment, I believe the Complaint by the girl is a genuine one and not fake. I suggest you seeking an Anticipatory Bail first to give you some time to prepare your defense.

Q: 35K financial fraud for an Aadhar Enrollment ID

I passed aadhar exam on 18th February 2025 & required an Enrollment ID to start. I found a guy on a WhatsApp group claiming he could provide ID for aadhar. I contacted him and made a deal. I sent him 35K by splitting the amount day by day. After getting all the money, he stopped picking up my calls & stopped responding on WhatsApp. Gradually I felt that I was cheated. Then, I put a complaint on cyber crime portal and the case is forwarded to my nearest police station. What should I do now?

Get the PS Case number and pursue the Case. See if the case has been chargesheeted. If not file an application before the Concerned Eleka Magistrate (JMFC) calling for a Status Report of that Police Case.

You should approach the Civil Court for Recovery of Money.You would have to show the Court the following.1. Proof of Payment.2. Proof of Debt. (if he signed that agreement)3. Proof of Notice/Legal Notice upon served upon Him asking for your money.

Generally, going to the court is mandatory since it a a Family matter. However, in certain conditions if you are an NRI, the court may allow Power of Attorney for representing you and signing documents on your behalf. For your testimony, when your attendence is mandatory, the Courts may sometimes allow Testimony through Virtual Conferencing.
