Property in joint name of me and father how to get it in my name?

02-Feb-2023 (In Property Law)

My father was allowed a flat by army welfare in Chandigarh. He paid for it with his own money . the flat was jointly registered in my and my father's name . there is no mutation done yet. In what way I can get the flat fully in my name . so that there are no future claims by my brother or any one else who my father may favour in a will. Presently my father is cooperating with me.

Your father can advice better about which authourties to approach. You have not mentioned where flat is. Is it in chd? Is it alloted by a builder or directly by army? With so less facts I can not give advice.

Sir, you can buy remaining share from your father or get some gift deed executed in your favour. Lastly, is the Will of your father which could always be challenged by your siblings. Best way is to get Sale Deed executed in your favour and get mutation enetered on that basis.
