How to get back the catholic church property

I am a catholic priest working in the catholic diocese of Eluru, Andhra Pradesh. One of the priest in our diocese got registered the diocese agricultural lands without the knowledge of our bishop or council. How to get back those agricultural lands to diocese?
We have to file a suit for cancellation of registration of such property before the concerned court & as well as we have to take criminal procedings against him regards the matter & For sure you will get those property to diocese.

Was the land initially registered in the name of diocese and subsequently the land was transferred to the name of the priest?
Or was it that the Priest having received the funds from the church, got the villagers to register their lands in the names of the priest instead of the church ?
