12-May-2023 (In Landlord/Tenant Law)
Hello Sir, I'm doing my internship in my 6th semester of my academic course. So I've taken a house on rent on 4th Jan 2016 at Noida. I gave Security Deposit along with Advance of one month to my landlord and And now my internship is going to finish on 31st May 2016. So I noticed him, that I will leave the house by the end of this month. But He said that your security deposit will not be returned, because you are leaving the house before 11 months. So, what is the law regarding this.? What should I do.?

Whether there was rental agreement entered between the landlord and the tenant?
If the rent agreement period is not expired then the clauses for notice for vacating the tenanted premises is to be seen.
Generally a landlord and a tenant can end the tenancy before the expiry of 11 months by giving a notice for a month.
