08-Dec-2023 (In Landlord/Tenant Law)

I came into a rent agreement with my landlord for 11 months. Now i am planning to shift to another city and as per the contract i have a one month prior notice as well. But now the landlord is forcing me that i have to pay rent till he finds a new tenant. What action can i take against him?

If you have served one month notice as per the agreement, then the landlord cannot force you to stay in the premises. You can ask for security deposit by sending him a legal notice or can adjust the same as your rent
