Committed financial fraud by tenant police seized the place

Sub-tenant did financial fraud, After getting complain police lock the office and took the key. Landlord asking me to vacate the office or pay rent. I sub-let the office with the permission from landlord and after police verification.
The original tenant is not replaced and is responsible for rent and damages for the term of the lease. The only way to release him from any liability is through Novation, with the landlord’s consent, in the original lease. Therefore it entirely depends on the Consent of the landlord and the terms and conditions of the Rent agreement.
