How are the legal implications of breaking the employment bond

19-Feb-2023 (In Labour & Service Law)
I joined an IT company as a fresher and they made me to sign a bond of 1.6 year after joining the organisation. For the first 4 months they were just paying me a minor stipend and i was made to work on live projects. After completion of my training they started deducting some part of my CTC as bonus and told that they pay it after successful completion of 1 year. They forced to work beyond the office hours daily that leads to mental pressure and health issues. After completing 10 month in this organisation I decided to quit the job. Now they are harassing me by sending emails that they are going to take legal action against me as company projects are suffering. And also claiming that I have stolen company's testing device that is fully fake and if I will not visit the office within 3 days, They are going to make police complaint. can they take any legal action against me? What shall I do in this case. What consequences I will have to face if they will take legal action.

As per the recent development in law made by the Supreme Court and various High Courts, such bonds are lopsided and are not legal and enforceable under law.

You can send a legal notice to the company for asking for your dues.

If the company takes any legal action against you to ask for the bond amount, you must contest it in the court of law as the enforcement of these employment bonds is not maintainable under law.
