Can a student file case if campus hiring company is corrupt

If a student is selected on campus for a job and given a confirmation mail with the joining date and then asked the student to give an assignment during a 3 day training period and rejects the student saying assignment is not up to the mark., can the student sue the company.

Campus selection is only a preliminary assessment for the particular employment. That cannot be construed as offer appointment. Based on the assignment your candidature has been rejected, it would be routine procedure for employment.
