Absconding from work can my employer take legal action against me

15-May-2023 (In Labour & Service Law)
I have recently absconded from work since the work was too demanding and challenging due to long work hours. I have received a letter from the employer stating legal action might be taken if I do not report back to work immediately. I do not wish to join back and I have worked there for four years Is there any labour law which states that the employer can take a legal action against the employee. Please advise.

To resolve the said issue it is necessary to know the terms and conditions of the appointment letter, when you have join and when you have left the office, what is the nature of job, Only then the relevant reply can be prepared in your interest. Absconding from job without intimation is a serious issue but the same can be resolved.
