If police is not filing 498a case where can I file complaint

pls advise on - 1)attack done with knife but person save himself .sign of man handling available on body but no sign of knife cut is found .which section is applicable in such case?// 2)even mentioning about dowery in f i r but no section of 498a is included in f. i. r. .what action should be taken for including 498a' 3)case will delt by distt court or family court? pls guide.

If the FIR is lodged the concerned magistrate will handle the case. If no sign of knife then the matter will be fall under 323 of IPC. Police generally does not lodge FIR under 498 A until and unless you have not given proper complaint by disclosing the incidents specifically. Revert me. All the best.

The case mentioned will be dealt by the district court. You may file a DV case in the concerned court. If a FIR is already registered the sections may be added by subsequent statement in front of the magistrate or by arguing on the charges framed or a 156 (3) complaint case may be filled
