Creating trouble into family by son's father in law

My son along with his wife and myself with spouce residing at Pune. Every now and then my son's in-laws visit us from kolkata and interfere into our family matter More over they are purchasing household goods for their daughter spontaneously without our acceptance on the plea that his daughter is facing difficulties in day to day work. I am afraid one day they will drag us into dowry case. Pls help
