Can grandfather sell the ancestral property if its only under his name

23-Jun-2023 (In Family Law)
My grand grand father had purchased a property, which got inherited to my grand father. My grand father has 4 children but no bodies name was on 7/12 papers. My father passed away around 12 years back. Before 2.5 years my grand father sold half of this property without taking any concern from me or my mother or not with any other children. So can i take objection on that? On what basis i should file a petition?

The question is what was the necessity for your grandfather to sale the property?if property was sold for legal necessity your grand father is justified in disposing of the property. If it is not for legal necessity you can file civil suit seeking declaration that the said sale deed is null and void and not binding on your share

yes you are take legal action against your grand father for partition, separate possession, permanent injunction
firstly you sent legal notice against grand father and who was purchased half property person
and including all person who is joint property owner.
thereafter filed civil suit against them in civil court.
