What is the procedure to correct fathers name in 10th certificate

I have passed class 10 in the year 2011. In the marksheet my father's name spelling is mistaken. That year I approached the school but they didn't replied anything. Sir my other documents like pan card,aadhar card n even class 10 school character certificate n etc have correct name. I have asked cbse to get it correct. They replied that after the one year of result declared u need to file a civil suit. M not aware of these things please tell me sir, if I will not get it correct it will ruin my carrer. Please sir help me.
Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has circulated an order that the change of name/surname will be done only if the change has been granted by a court of law and notified in the government gazette before the publication of the results of the candidate
