How to change wife's surname when married under special marriage law?

I am sc(mala) boy married a minortiy( bc_e) women under special marriage act,1954 in kadapa district andhara pradesh .in ration card i want mension my wife surname. Can i mension it ? We loved each other and married but as per records we want to proceede i am as sc and my wife as musilm is it possible?we married under special marriage .we have a marriage certificate
The change of last name after marriage is not legally obligatory on any woman, at least in India. Married women can continue with their maiden name for all purposes as it’s her right to do so. The change of last name by bringing the name of the husband or his surname is done just to identify herself as his wife nothing more.
