Hello Sir/Mam, There is spelling mistake in my father's surname in my high school marksheet. My father name is Riyaz Hasnain but in my 10th mark-sheet it is written as Riyaz Hashaih. 'h' is printed on the place of 'n' there. Will it create a problem further? If yes, then please kindly tell me the solution.
The right procedure is getting a notice published in a local News Paper, regarding your intention to change your name/or add surname to it, and subsequently get it published in Gazette of India.
These days Gazette prints have been discontinued, so you may have to check with concerned press in your city, if they still print the Gazette Notification, or it is given to you in soft copy.

It might create some problem while applying for passport or visa, you can approach your board office with an affidavit and some supporting documents. There is some prescribe fees which will vary as per the state office, and they will issue a new mark sheet to that effect.
