Do I have to get legal heir certificate where I am the nominee

My father is retired from Tamil Nadu govt retired from GH Chennai.in 1989, and died 25Apr2016, my father has nominated my name in Pension a/c, Savings bank a/c. and one savings Bank a/c is E or s .whether i have to obtain legal heir to get pension amount and the same to the SB a/c .

In case you are the nominee in the bank accounts of your father then you don’t need a legal heir certificate to claim the amount. If you are the nominee you can claim the amount yourself.
