I am a Muslim female, how can I file for a divorce against my husband?

How can I get a Divorce if my husband is untraceable and I haven’t spoken to him since the last 4 years? I got married 4 years ago against my wish and after 4 days of my marriage my in laws sent me back to my home. Since then I am not in touch with my husband and my in laws who live in another city. Am Muslim

Hello Madam, you can file divorce sunit under section 2 of the Dissolution of Muslim Women Marriage Act. Desertion of four years, is a ground for divorce under the said act. If your are unable to trace his present address then you may file the suit on his last known address or were you had started the matrimonial life together.
