Woman cannot be charged for offence of adultery under IPC. But, adultery is a good groind for Divorce. Woman is exempted from prosecution under our criminal law. Can be charged!! But it is not easy to prove. It is very difficulty to prove. If you able to prove the married woman involving adultery, then any husband of that woman can get divorce easily on that ground and she will be prosecuted.

Yes, married woman can be charged for adultery and also that can be a reason for divorce as well subject to proving of adultery before the court of law. the law says that that a private complaint should be filed before the jurisdictional magistrate against the married woman for the charge of adultery.
