Can I file case from kolkata if mother is in guwahati

Please guide how to file maintenance case in family court. I want to file the case on behalf of my mother who is staying in Guwahati and at present i am in Kolkata can i file the case in kolkata and how should i proceed. As I Rehana begum Ahmed would like to file petition against my husband salik ahmed and on Abida Begum ahmed who stay with my husband. I been to married to salik ahmed from 1983 10th January till now. With out my awareness he brought a women in 2004 and has two kids without my concern.He always beat me physically and I have multiple internal damage and with mental harassment
