Negligence by bank as pension scheme not activated

27-Sep-2023 (In Consumer Court Law)
Sir , I had applied for APY pension scheme in a bank in 2015 . They had not activated my pension scheme till now . They admit their mistake , but I need to pay for the pension scheme to the present rate . If they had activated it earlier my premium is less . So I don't agree with the bank ....they r delaying to come to any solution ... Can I sue the bank for their negligence ... I have all the required proofs .

You can file a consumer complaint for the above matter for the deficiency of service rendered by the bank. You may do it personally or by engaging an advocate on your behalf. Cite the reason for your complaint and ask for a compensation. Also state the corrected pension scheme premium payable by you. If your grievance is justifiable the consumer forum will compensate you along with such other direction directing the bank to take necessary action on the issue.

Hi,

Yes, you can file a consumer complaint against the bank and its officers for deficiency of service and negligence, and seek damages from the bank. Further you can approach the banking ombudsman with a complaint for this.
