What will be conviction and punishment if defaulter present himself

How much time to surrender after the pronouncement of sentence in cheque bouncing? If I present there n put application under section 3 under 374. WIll I be safe?
Offense under section 138 Negotiable instrument is Bailable offence, if you are appearing for first time then you will get bail on furnishing bail bonds as matter of right but if you are a bail Jumper or have not been appearing in the court and avoiding summons then warrants may be issued against you.
