Hello!

It is recommended but not compulsory to register a will.

It is best if the will is registered. It can be easily enforced in this case. Probate can come only after you have filed a testamentary petition in Court and some external objects to such claim.

The benefit of registering a will is that it can be easily enforced but still a probate may arise and the matter will come for hearing (based on certain claim like the said will i forged n all). Here contentions need to be proved by both the party. You can contact us for further details.

1. Registration of the Will is not at all necessary
2. It is compulsory to get probate of both Registered and Unregistered Will from High Court
3. There is no such extra benefits of Registered will . But the main draw back is that if the Will is made & registered at the early age of life and if the maker of the will want to make addition / amendment / correction/ change then it become most necessary on his part to register those addition / amendment / correction / change and then he has to bear further additional cost of registration every time he want to make addition / amendment / correction / change in that Will.

It is not compulsory to register a WILL. Getting probate has nothing to do with registration of WILL. Registering a WILL will help to a certain extent in proving the authenticity of the WILL as the same is mm are before a registrar who been an government appointed officer

It is not compulsory to register a will. Where there is a likelihood of its challenge, it is advisable to register the Will since that will to some extent serve as proof of its authenticity. Probate is necessary within bombay.
