Making a will in regard of properties situated in two different places

18-Jul-2023 (In Wills / Trusts Law)
I am a citizen to India but I am living in Australia and planning to make a will. I have assests in Australia as well as India. Should I make two will in India and Australia or should I make one will and include all the assests in one will.?

Hi. The law on Wills in India is absolutely clear that a Will doesnot confer title on the beneficiary. Keeping the aforesaid law in mind, you can either make one single Will including all properties in case there is only one beneficiary or you can make two Wills in the event there are two different beneficiaries to avoid litigation over the Wills.
