Can I get 20 yrs old complaint copy from a Police station using RTI?

I need police complaint of an incident that happend 20 years ago, can I get it thru RTI? Does RTI has any limitations?

RTI Act does not have any limitation period for asking information from the public authority. but the thing is you must see whether the information sought by you will available with the authority. certain documents will not be kept for longer period of time and it will be destroyed after giving public notice

How do you deal with CAW cells?
The legal cell reviews the complaint and recommends that an FIR be filed at the Police Station concerned. This is when a husband should seek Notice Bail/Anticipatory Bail. It is not mandatory to attend the CAW Cell proceedings, but it is recommended.
What is the function of CAW cell?
If the matter is not resolved amicably between the woman and her husband, the Crime Against Women Cell will send a report of failure to their superiors. The CAW Cell also forwards the complaint of the woman to a Police Station in order for a regular FIR to be registered.
