Recovery of money given to a known person

I have given 1.5 lac to one of friend on a verbal agreement in May 2016 in which he got agreed to repay the same by August 2016 in installments however he didn't turn up with his commitments. I have only wats app chat and one recorded conversation. Last month he agreed to repay all amount in Dec which seems to be fake now as he has blocked my contact no from call and Wats app. Please help that was my hard earned money. I have tried to helped him but in turn am getting punished..
You may file a suit for recovery of money under Order 37, Rule 1 &2 of the Code of Civil Procedure 1908. You are advised to get your What's App Chattings , conversation recordings preserved to this effect. However you are further advised that before moving the court you may send a legal notice to him.

Although there is no written agreement, there is a possibility that on the basis of the whatsapp chats and the recorded conversation, you can recover your money from your friend. A lot will depend on the strength of the recording and the chats. Don't delete them even by mistake.
