Recovery of Money from a Friend who refuse to pay

I gave 20 thousand rupees to a friend in need and he said he will return it within a month i have the whatsapp chat as proof and money is given from online transaction plus a few call recordings where he just clearly states he won't return it so how can i get it back legally and what will be the cost of taking legal action or advocate fee ?
and does whatsapp chat and call recordings are good enough evidence ?

You may file a civil suit under order 37 cpc. In order to get the money decree, we will have to prove that defendant took money from you. Fistly, We will have to draft the plaint according to facts and circumstances of the case and then file in the civil court. . After that Notice will be issued to defendant and then proceedings will kick off.
